About Jonathan Rahm

A native of Sullivan County, New York, Jonathan has grown up on and around horses. Studying Equine Science and Management at SUNY Morrisville, Jonathan was the Team Leader of the Intercollegiate Equestrian Riding Team.  His coursework included development of industry skills including business and stable management, care and training of horses, nutrition, and agricultural economics.

Jonathan's passion has led to the development of Horse Whisperer Training, an unconventional and successful method of natural horsemanship.  Beginning at age 11, he has been relied upon to safely and gently train hundreds of horses with astounding results.  He has worked with Spike Holmes, Bonnie Miller, and Lisa Ekland, and has trained for Brook Edge Farm, Stonewall Farms, Phillip Quartier, Maple Grove Horse Farm, Carl and Alice Witherel (Camp Horse Suppliers) and many private horse owners.

Jonathan has devoted his life to the multi-discipline instruction of students of all ages.  He specializes in individualized lesson programs, designed to teach the skills and build the confidence required for students to excel in their chosen discipline.

Over the past 10 years, Jonathan has used his knowledge and expertise to design and implement equine facilities and trail riding programs throughout the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountain region at  Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park, Stonewall Farms, Roselli Farm, and Maple Grove Horse Farm.

Jonathan has recently returned to New York from an assignment at the Circle Bar B Guest Ranch, outside of Santa Barbara, California, where he developed new safety, care and learning protocols, trained young horses, and led rides of up to 10 guests on rugged canyon trails.
